“It’s not about me.”

I know it sounds weird, but I want a church that doesn’t focus on making me happy.  Don’t get me wrong–I am often happy when I am with the people of my church.  It’s just that pleasing me–or anybody else–isn’t a priority for this church.  Our priority is to love and serve our neighbors, the way Jesus did.  I’m part of this church because I want to give myself to something bigger than myself.

I’m a dancer and a medical receptionist.  Through Lafayette church, I’ve been able to integrate my faith with both my passion, and my job.
