Following Jesus

We’re so glad you clicked! We’ve got good news and bad news.

First the bad:

Deciding to follow Jesus entails a little bit more than following a link. This is committing to a radically different life; therefore, it involves a bit more than your standard online transaction.

Here’s the good news:

There is NOTHING that this community would like to do more than help you begin this journey! An email or phone call to our pastor is a good place to start.  He’ll help you understand that a life of following Jesus means rejecting some things (what Christians call “sin and evil,” selfishness, violence, things like that) and accepting some others (like new life in Jesus, a rescue from the trappings of those things we reject–and the death that they lead to, and a new life following leading/example/teaching of Jesus).

This is all done through the community that Jesus started, the Church. Lafayette Ave Presbyterian Church is, of course, only one part of that community, but we’re the part YOU found, so it might be a good place to start!
