A church is only as good as its people. Actually, we believe that a church IS the people.
Here are some of the people you will meet at Lafayette:
Drew Ludwig is the pastor at Lafayette. Drew is originally from Pittsburgh, but has come to love Buffalo. He loves helping people discover their part in God’s mission, and involving them in worship. He also likes to play basketball, throw Frisbee, watch the Simpsons, hike, and act. You don’t think he’s the typical Pastor? Drew takes that as a compliment.
The Session: These nine people are the “chief spiritual discerners” of the church. They are elected as leaders from the people of the church.
The Deacons: These nine people are the “chief caregivers” of the church. If you have a need, physical or spiritual, a Deacon will help care for you.
Karen is our Christian Education Director. Bright, cheerful, and friendly, Karen serves students of all ages in a way that reflects God’s Love.
Lawyer by day, performer by night, and organist/choir director on Sunday! Theresa loves to help us make beautiful music. With experience in classical music, church music, blues, jazz, musical theater, and even contemporary Christian music, Theresa makes sure we give voice to our faith using a variety of musical expressions.
Patty makes our place run. As Office Administrator, she keeps us organized and on schedule. She’s likely to be the smiling voice that you hear when you call us, and the friendly face when you will see come into our building.
Paul is our facilities manager. That means that its his job to keep our building safe, welcoming, and beautiful. He also serves as the head usher, so Paul can help with just about anything!
Queen makes this place look good! She keeps the building safe and clean in the evening from 4pm until close.
